Our Orthopedic Surgeons believe it is usually necessary to stay one night after joint replacement surgery for medical observation for even the most fit and healthy patients. Despite our many advancements in recent years, less invasive joint replacement is still a major orthopaedic surgery and can have significant complications that your medical team will be watching for during your hospital stay. The majority of these complications is observed in the first 1-3 days after surgery.
