Life is too small to let the little things affect your day, your week, your work and well, everything. 27 years old Bhagyashree a part time professional part time biker, gave up her hopes of getting back into racing whilst she injured her knees after getting into an accident. Just imagine and consider the pain and the shock a biker had to undergo with knees that were slipping off after an accident she met with.

After the accident immediately I could feel something was wrong with my knees. When I tried climbing stairs my knees kept slipping off along with the extreme pain I was going through, it scared and made me tensed about whether I would be able to ever race again,The main concern when returning to riding bike is that your mind may be willing to jot down checks that your legs and musculo-skeletal system aren’t ready to cash. In case you overdraw your account, you’ll be returned from where you commenced—unable to walk, due to injuries like ACL injury.” she said. Bhagyashree’s family went through a lot until they consulted Apollo Hospital Bannerghatta and was under the care of  Dr Raviraj Nayak, Senior consultant, and Orthopedic Surgeon, where her knees were examined and recommended a ligament reconstruction surgery as she had torn her ligament during the accident.

“At my first appointment Dr Raviraj just listened to my story he began with some basic treatments and then the procedure was planned, the surgery scared me as I thought it would hinder my career of racing.  Dr Raviraj along with his team at apollo hospital did wonders and I am absolutely fit and fine the next day the surgery and prescribed stretching exercises. Apollo hospital has full of smart trainers who have all the latest secrets and equipment at their disposal” said Bhagyashree.
